Walk4More is a website that’s about the finer details of walking; the often over-looked bit in-between your A and B.

What is Walk4More?

Walk4More represents the bigger picture. A mindful movement, that if done with purpose can build, heal and calm.

Active walking is a perspective-shifting idea that’s similar to mindful meditation. Walking actively is about your external awareness, the minute details of your environment, these could perhaps be blades of grass, flowers, animals, colours and textures. Sub-atomic particles need not apply.

How Walk4More Came to Light

Originally, Walk4More was destined to be just one page with a single purpose – to direct you to a mindful walking group – ‘The Road Walk’.

Upon completion of this most singular page, I couldn’t help but feel this vague persistent itch to add something more, so I decided to create a logo and conjure up a tag-line; I also added a blog page ‘Around the Bend’. It wasn’t long before I began to move past my website’s initial brief.

Why Walking?

Walking is a holistic power-house that can both strengthen the body and calm the mind. The problem solver’s problem solver. The bone-strengthener. The weight manager. The heart protector. The glucose leveller.

Walking goes beyond the linear; it goes beyond destination-based goals or the 10,000 steps/day mantra health professionals recommend.

Walking on its own is a great idea, however, walking as part of your wellness tool kit is a game-changer!

What Walking Means to me

Active walking has helped calm my mind, bring perspective to anxious thinking, it has brought clarity to thought; it has solved a great many problems; it helps manage my ever-present OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) and anxiety.

Walking is an integral part of my daily routine—a non-negotiable, if you will.

This simple, subscriptionless and most natural of movements has the potential to strengthen your awareness and ground the errant mind.

The key is in-between your A and B.
